The carafe works well with most hot and cold beverages including coffee, tea, iced tea, cold brew, and water.
Milk, orange juice, and lemonade are fine for short durations, but not recommended for long storage since they can spoil or cause buildup.
WARNINGS: DO NOT use with carbonated beverages or sparkling drinks.
Is the Aura carafe suitable for pour-over coffee?
Yes, the carafe works well with pour-over coffee. It is compatible with any pour-over coffee dripper that is 4.25 inches (108 mm) in diameter or larger.
Does the carafe retain flavors or odors?
Stainless steel resists odors, and a simple rinse with baking soda or lemon water keeps it fresh.
What is the carafe made of?
The interior and exterior are both made with premium 18/8 stainless steel, and the outside features a durable, condensation-free powder-coated finish. The lid is made of BPA-free plastic.
How do I deep clean the lid?
- The top part of the lid (where the stainless steel button is) has airflow spaces and doesn’t come into contact with the internal water line. Rinse it thoroughly with clean water and let it dry naturally overnight.
-To clean the spout and internal water line, soak the lid in warm baking soda water. Press the stainless button so the solution flows through the spout. Let it sit overnight, rinse thoroughly, and it should feel like new.
