The thermal pot is exactly what I hoped for. I can make an exra cup or two of coffee in the morning and it stays warm so I can drink it later in the day. I like the small size and the stainless thermal interior is nice.

It keeps our coffee hot for as long as we need it to, which is a couple hours at most for us. As a senior with arthritis issues, I really like its heighth and stability for making pour over coffee. I like the red color and design, though I wish it wasn't soft plastic. (I've read reports of it scratching easily. I'm taking care with it.) We just unscrew the cap for pouring that last cup or so (another problem people mentioned.) And when I rinse it out, I depress the lever to stream water through that part of the cap and shake it out periodically while air drying. Yes, the pot collects a little water/coffee both in the cap and around the rim of the pot. We don't use cream, so don't consider it a big deal. And may air dry easier when we get our drier winter air. It serves about the same amount of coffee as our 32 ounce French Press did, so we are used to small cups of coffee. I'd rather make fresh, than have a bigger pot to make more coffee. Overall, I'd say it perfect for us.
Really LOVE this Carafe.
I have been searching for a more modern small carafe to keep my two cups of coffee warm in the morning (although you could make three or four cups with this). This works beautifully. It doesn't take up any room in my small kitchen and really it's just perfect for me. I'm very particular too.
