Good home espresso maker & milk steamer/foamer
I had read the reviews before purchasing so I knew there were a couple things that people mentioned problems. First off as stated in the responses to reviews (and potentially in description), lafeeca states that all parts that do not touch liquid product are plastic. That is true. And it makes that machine shockingly light. You have to steady it when you put the espresso grounds holder thing and twist it into place. If that will annoy you, you should not get this machine. It heats up fast; pulls a great pair of espresso shots, then you press the stream button and wait maybe 2 mins to get temp. It will steam the milk and leave a microfroth or you can create a fuller froth. At first it took 3x of steaming to get the milk hot and frothed- for whatever reason the stranger kept needing to reheat but within 6-8 days of use, it only needs one steam. Almost it is a short machine as you can see in the pictures and specs so that constrains the streaming vessel. Over, I am keeping it after I reconciled within my own brain that I can't expect commercial results from home use project and incredible price difference.
It doesn’t work
After a few months, I have to say I’m very disappointed at this product. It doesn’t heat the water and many malfunctions. Just a pretty appliance for your kitchen
It was a poorly, cheaply made machine. I returned it
Great for price
I have been using Breville machines for over 15 years. They have held up well with everyday use with multiple cups made. I make lattes and am impressed with the quality of latte that I get from this machine. Since the machine is mostly plastic, I will have to reevaluate how it lasts in several months from now. But as I remember, there is a 1 year warranty, so I feel comfortable the company has done their due diligence on constructing a product that will last.
Great value for the price
Very user friendly, works like a charm. I highly recommend. Easy cleanup w plastic non essential parts. Makes a fantastic espresso with two inch head!
Happy Espresso maker! but not happy with 15% re-stocking fee : (
I am very happy with my Lafeeca Espresso machine. I did a lot of research and decided to buy the Lafeeca machine based on the good reviews for a machine within this price range. I also like that the company is small and based in Los Angeles. The machine itself is really great, it is easy to use makes really good coffee and is aesthetically pleasing. As other reviewers noted the one thing that's a bit annoying is how lightweight the drip tray is - it's made of very lightweight plastic and the metal ( is it metal? ) draining piece is so lightweight and flimsy that it slides around a bit. But in general this is a very good machine. I gave my review 4 stars, not because of the machine itself, but because unfortunately I received two of the same exact espresso machines (!??) in my shipment. I did not order two machines so I returned one and now am being charged a 15% restocking fee for this. I understand it costs the company to pay for shipping and such but a re-stock fee of 15% on a couple of hundred dollars is a lot of money for a mistake I did not make.
